In the custom paper tube packaging process, printing is a crucial step that directly affects the visual appeal and quality of the final paper tube packaging. For bulk production printing, we will use Heidelberg printer, which is industry-leading equipment known for their high efficiency and precision. It can complete a large volume of printing tasks in a short period while ensuring consistent color and detail in each print, minimizing production errors. Additionally, the stability of Heidelberg printer guarantees reliable long-term production.
And we use soy-based ink for printing to make our custom paper tubes meet environmental standards. Soy-based ink is not only eco-friendly and reduces dependence on petroleum resources, but it also has low volatile organic compounds (VOC), which minimizes its impact on the environment. This eco-friendly ink not only provides high-quality print results but also demonstrates our commitment to environmental protection.
In terms of printing methods, we typically use two types: digital printing and offset printing, to meet different production needs. Digital printing is suitable for small-batch production and customization, offering flexibility and high precision; it is usually used for creating our samples. For bulk production, we use offset printing on Heidelberg presses to achieve stable and high-quality printing results.
Digital printing has a fast setup time compared to offset print. This means shorter production times and quicker delivery of the custom paper packaging.
For small quantities, digital printing eliminates the need for expensive plates and setup fees, making it more economical than offset printing for small quantity paper tubes, paper boxes packaging.
Digital printing produces less waste because it uses only the exact amount of ink needed, and there are no plates or screens that need to be disposed of.
An offset print uses printing plates but does not transfer ink directly from the printing plate to the paper. The ink on a printing plate is first transferred to a plate, which then transfers the ink to the paper. The ink application being “offset” rather than transferring directly to the paper is the reason this printing method is called Offset Printing.
Offset printing uses two main color systems to produce high-quality images: the CMYK Print and PMS Print. This article explains the difference between these two color systems.
Offset printing delivers sharp, high-resolution images and precise color reproduction. It produces consistent and professional results, making it ideal for high-quality prints.
When offset printing uses pre-mixed inks used in the Pantone Matching System, it can produce consistent and accurate color reproduction acrossing multiple copies, which is particularly important for branding and design integrity.
Although setup costs are higher, the per-unit cost decreases with larger quantities, making offset printing more economical for large-scale projects.
